Damn. I planned to post a few of my favorite songs from her, but then realized just how lonnnnnng my list is.  So many songs that I love so much. So much of her music has been a part of my life, from when I was a little girl up until now. This morning’s news certainly has me feeling glum.

I’m glad she was at home with her loved ones. I’m glad she was able to see all of the love and appreciation for her over these past few days! I’ll think of that and be happy she is at peace and thankful that she shared so much of her wonderfulness with us. Rest in Heaven, amazing Aretha.

Out of the countless Aretha Franklin songs that I absolutely adore, I’ll post at least one. Wait… I’ll post two. These get me every time!
