Alvin Ailey was the founder of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He was a dancer, director, choreographer and activist. His multi-racial modern dance ensemble popularized modern dance during their extensive world tours. One of their signature pieces is “Revelations”, an early work by Alvin Ailey that is set to African American spirituals.
Maia is a Bay Area California native. She’s a mother/wife/daughter/sister/friend and she happens to find almost any and everything intriguing in one way or another.
